Nagpur: The third edition of the ‘Pulse Marathon’ will be held on November 16, 2025, at the MLA Hostel, Civil Lines, Nagpur. The event is being jointly organized by Deep Foundation, Sengupta Hospital and Research Institute, Ravinagar, and Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures, Nagpur.
Addressing a press conference, Dr. Shantanu Sengupta said that the marathon aims to promote a social message of fitness and heart health under the theme “Run for Prolonged Lives.” The event will feature three categories — a 5 km walk, a 10 km run, and a 21 km endurance run — catering to participants of different fitness levels.
Explaining the significance behind the name Pulse Marathon, Dr. Sengupta highlighted the importance of maintaining cardiovascular health through regular exercise. “Scientific studies have shown that keeping the heart rate between 70–80 beats per minute is linked to better life expectancy. Regular exercise not only strengthens the heart but also prevents weight gain, reduces blood pressure, controls blood sugar, and delays the onset of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease,” he said.
The organizers have reported an enthusiastic response, with over 1,000 runners from across Vidarbha already registered to take part in the event. The marathon aims to encourage citizens to adopt a healthier lifestyle while uniting the community through fitness and awareness.
