The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) will undertake critical maintenance and repair work on Monday, December 1, which will require shutting down power supply for three to four hours in several areas under the Mahal Division. The planned work includes installing a new AB switch, trimming overgrown tree branches, rejumpering lines and dismantling overhead wiring—tasks that MSEDCL says cannot be carried out safely without disconnecting electricity.
According to the company, power will remain off from 7 am to 10 am in Surve Layout, Mahakalkar NIT Building, Dattatrayanagar and Ayodhyanagar. A second shutdown from 10 am to 2 pm will affect Unique Society, Chiranjeevinagar, Saptagiri, Bharatiya Society, Jai Durga Society No. 6, Suraj Society, Fortune Siri Society, Jayanti Mansion-09 Society and Jai Prabhu RTO Society.
Residents have been advised to manage water storage, complete electricity-dependent tasks in advance, and extend cooperation to field staff to ensure smooth completion of maintenance activities.
