Large parts of the city will experience power outages over the next three days as the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) undertakes routine maintenance, repair work, and tree-trimming operations. The utility has appealed to consumers for cooperation during the planned shutdowns.
According to MSEDCL, multiple areas across the city will face power cuts on Wednesday, December 3, at different times:
9 AM to 1:30 PM: Satyam Plaza, MSEB Colony, Sweeper Colony, Rukmini Nagar, Shani Mandir, Gurudev Nagar, Indira Hospital, Nokriya Auditorium, Thaware Colony
10 AM to 2 PM: Sai Nagar, Abhay Nagar, Jaywant Nagar, Chinchmaltpure Nagar, Central Railway Colony, Swaraj Nagar, Omkar Nagar, LIG Colony
9 AM to 1 PM: Akash Nagar, Avdhut Nagar, Mahakali Nagar, New Amar Nagar, Vitthal Nagar, Bhagwati Nagar, Shesh Nagar
10 AM to 12 PM: Deshpande Layout, Prajapati Nagar, Trimurti Nagar, Shailesh Nagar
In the Gandhibagh division, power supply will be suspended from 11 AM to 1 PM in Tandapeth, Maratha Chowk, Thakkar Nagar and Bengali Panja.
In Butibori, industrial consumers in the T-Zone and H-Zone of April Park Substation will face outages from 12 PM to 5:30 PM, while those in the D-Zone area of the 11 kV Fabtech line under Aamgaon Substation will be without supply from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The Congress Nagar division will also see widespread shutdowns across several time slots, including areas such as Ramnagar, Ambazari Road, Pandhrabodi, Jayatala, Sangharsh Nagar, Sharda Nagar, Panchavati Nagar, Nelco Society, Azad Hind Nagar and others between 8 AM and 12 PM.
MSEDCL has further announced that parts of the Mahal division will experience scheduled outages on Thursday and Friday as well.
On December 4 (Thursday), areas including Vinkar Vasahat, Ninkar Colony No. 1, Srinagar, Geeta Nagar, Parivartan Chowk, Vandrai Nagar, Diwan Layout and Kalyaneshwar Nagar will have no supply from 9 AM to 1 PM.
On December 5 (Friday), Mangaldeep Nagar, Shahu Nagar, Amba Nagar, Green Planet Colony, Chintamani Nagar, Shrikrishna Nagar, Aradhana Nagar, Kapil Nagar, Radhanand Nagar and Narhari Nagar will face outages during the same hours.
MSEDCL has stated that the work is essential to strengthen and streamline the power distribution network. The utility has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and has advised consumers to store drinking water and complete necessary electrical tasks in advance of the outages.
