A 19-year-old hotel worker died after suffering severe burn injuries when hot water accidentally spilled on him at the five-star Le-Meridien Hotel on Wardha Road. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Beltarodi Police Station.
The deceased has been identified as Sachin Shivaji Jadhav, a resident of Hiwara in Digras, Yavatmal. He was employed in the housekeeping department of the luxury hotel.
According to police, the incident occurred around 7 pm on November 29 while Jadhav was on duty. Hot water reportedly fell on his body during cleaning work, causing serious burn injuries. He was immediately rushed to Orange City Hospital for treatment.
Despite continuous medical care, Jadhav succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. Based on a complaint filed by his father, Shivaji Jadhav, Beltarodi Police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation.
