Nagpur’s rising rugby star, Vanshika Surekha Dharmaraj Dodake, has earned a spot in the West Zone team for the Khelo India Asmita U-15 Rugby League, set to take place on December 13 and 14, 2025, in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Her selection is a proud achievement for the Rugby Association of Nagpur.
Vanshika booked her place after tough trials at the Maha Camp organised by the Rugby Association of Maharashtra. A bronze medallist at the 2024 Under-14 School National Rugby Championship, she has consistently shown discipline, talent and determination. Coming from a tribal background and a modest family, she serves as an inspiration for many young girls in the region.
Coach and Secretary Amar Bhandarwar congratulated her and said he is confident that with continued hard work, Vanshika has the potential to represent India on the international stage.
