The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Nagpur Rural Police, along with Kanhan police, busted a prostitution racket during a raid at Rainbow Lodge in the Tekadi area of Kanhan. One person was arrested, while the lodge owner is absconding.
A woman was rescued during the operation.Acting on a tip-off, police sent a decoy customer to the lodge on December 12, 2025. After a deal was struck to provide a woman for ?3,000, the police raided the lodge and caught the manager red-handed.
The arrested accused has been identified as Gaurav Dilip Sahare (20), a resident of Tekadi. The rescued woman hails from Amravati. The lodge owner, Manohar Chirkut Hood, also a resident of Tekadi, Kanhan, is currently on the run.Police seized two Android mobile phones, ?21,000 in cash, and other materials worth ?20,500 from the spot.
A case has been registered against the accused for allegedly luring women into prostitution for financial gain.The operation was conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Harssh Poddar and SDPO Santosh Gaikwad, with active participation from officers of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and Kanhan police station.
