An early-morning fire caused extensive damage to Bubbles Kids Play Zone situated near Kadbi Chowk on Friday. The blaze reportedly erupted around 5 am in the children’s play facility, which operates from the first floor of a residential building.
The fire spread swiftly across the play zone, leading residents to immediately inform the fire brigade. Fire department teams rushed to the spot and deployed a fire tender to contain the flames. After sustained efforts, the fire was successfully brought under control, preventing further damage to nearby structures.
According to the owners, play equipment and other materials worth nearly ₹1.5 lakh were destroyed in the incident. No injuries were reported as the play zone was closed at the time. Officials stated that the situation could have turned disastrous had the fire broken out during business hours when children are present.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation. Jaripatka police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are conducting further inquiries to ascertain whether an electrical short circuit or any other factor led to the blaze.
Authorities have urged owners of commercial establishments, particularly those catering to children, to strictly adhere to fire safety norms to avoid similar incidents.
