The accused—Rohan Kamalakar Chawariya (32) and Kundan Devidas Chavan (45)—were allegedly abusing the victim, Mangal Mangya Kori (56), while under the influence of alcohol. When the victim’s son, Shubham Mangal Kori (25), objected, the accused allegedly assaulted him.
As the victim and his younger son Aman attempted to intervene and pacify the dispute, a third accused, Rohit Kamalakar Chawariya (34), allegedly joined the assault and struck Aman on the head with a stone. Meanwhile, Rohan Chawariya allegedly attacked Mangal Kori with a wooden stick, repeatedly hitting him on the head and limbs with the intention to kill.
The victim sustained critical head injuries and was rushed to Medical Hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.
Based on the complaint, Imamwada police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and arrested Rohan Chawariya and Kundan Chavan. A manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding third accused. Further investigation is in progress.
