A shocking incident on board a train has sparked widespread outrage after a couple allegedly locked themselves inside a train toilet for nearly two hours, causing inconvenience to other passengers.
According to claims made in a video that has since gone viral, the prolonged occupation of the toilet led to growing frustration among passengers, as it is a shared facility meant for public use. With the door remaining closed for an unusually long period, the matter eventually drew the attention of railway staff.
When the door was finally opened, the man reportedly told those gathered that the woman was menstruating and in pain. However, passengers were taken aback by the woman’s response, in which she was heard saying, “If I have a problem, it’s my choice whoever I want to take inside with me.”
The video quickly spread across social media platforms, triggering intense debate over civic sense, public behaviour and the misuse of shared amenities. Many users criticised the couple for treating a public facility like a private space and disregarding the discomfort caused to others.
Social media users pointed out that personal freedom cannot justify the misuse of public resources. Several comments stressed that train toilets are essential facilities for hundreds of passengers and not private rooms, with many reiterating that rules apply equally to everyone.
