Nagpur’s Divisional Commissioner Vijaylaxmi Bidri has fixed February 6 as date for electing the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
The meeting of elected corporators will be held at Kavivarya Suresh Bhat Auditorium in Reshimbag, Nagpur at 11 am. The Divisional Commissioner has appointed District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar as chairperson for the special meeting.
Bharatiya Janata Party holds clear majority in Nagpur, where the Mayor’s post has been reserved for Woman in General Category.
