With the aim of promoting health and fitness, the fourth edition of the Katol Marathon will be held on February 22 in Katol.
Addressing the media, Pravin Lohe said the marathon will feature three categories: a 10 km Power Run, a 5 km Orange City Run, and a 3 km Family Run. All races will be flagged off from 6 am onwards.
The event carries total cash prizes worth ?51,000, and around 800 runners are expected to participate.
Participants can collect their bibs and T-shirts on Saturday at Orange Plaza, Katol, between 10.30 am and 5 pm. All finishers will receive a medal, certificate, and refreshments.
International ultra runner Dr Amit Samarth, Ironman Nitin Fuke, and visually impaired swimmer Ishwari Pande will flag off the races. Katol MLA Charansingh Thakur will attend the prize distribution ceremony.
Rajesh Wankhede, Nilesh Choudhari, Harshada Choudhari, Vrinda Lohe, and Rupal Wankhede were also present at the press conference.
