The 3rd edition of the month-long Public Art Festival, organised by Nagpur Kala Sangh with support from the Yuj Foundation, commenced on Saturday at the Atrium of V R Mall, Medical Square.
The festival, themed “The Future Is Now,” was inaugurated by Prof. Him Chatterjee, Vice-Chancellor of Sir JJ School of Arts, Architecture and Design, Mumbai. The inauguration ceremony featured the traditional lamp lighting and the unveiling of the ‘Kala Car’.
The opening evening also showcased vibrant Maharashtrian folk dance performances by students of Shiver Lok Kala Sanskriti Sansthan, Nagpur. Guests later enjoyed an exclusive viewing of the art installations displayed across V R Nagpur, including exhibits at the fine art gallery.
