n a first of its kind the Sub-District Hospital in Talegaon in Ashti Tehsil of Wardha district is being developed into a 300-bed super speciality hospital. The proposal has been approved by the State Government as a major breakthrough in rural healthcare.
The tender for the construction work has been floated and the modern new hospital is expected to be ready in the next two years.
Spread over 24,000 square meter, the ultra-modern health delivery facility has been designed to deliver super speciality level treatment. This is the first project in Maharashtra to develop a Sub-District Hospital into a Super Speciality Hospital.
The Maharashtra Government has signed an MoU with the International Finance Corporation affiliated to the World Bank.
Arvi MLA Sumit Wankhede successfully pursued the issue with the Chief Minister and other officers concerned.
