The State Government has taken a major step towards making Revenue Department services more accessible, transparent and citizen-friendly by introducing the facility of online e-bonds for the registration process, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced. He also stated that preparations are underway to implement the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maharajswa Abhiyan’ across the state.
Speaking to reporters in Nagpur, Bawankule explained that citizens can now obtain e-bonds online and pay stamp duty digitally from the comfort of their homes. The Stamp Duty Department has introduced this modern and convenient system to simplify the registration process.
He further informed that under the proposed ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maharajswa Abhiyan’, special camps will be organised at the mandal level for two days on March 7 and 14, and for two days each in April and May. During these camps, various Revenue Department services — including tukdebandi and other registration-related facilities — will be provided at a single location.
Bawankule said that Guardian Ministers, MLAs, MPs and other public representatives from the respective districts will attend the camps. He added that he would personally visit them as well.
On the Rajya Sabha elections, Bawankule stated that the names received by the BJP would be forwarded to the party’s Central Core Committee after discussion in the state core committee meeting. He expressed confidence that the BJP would secure four seats based on its strength. While efforts are being made to ensure the elections are held unopposed, he clarified that voting would take place if consensus is not reached.
Responding to queries about the demands raised by Manoj Jarange Patil, the minister said the issues would be discussed thoroughly and an appropriate decision would be taken.
