A two-day national conference on the topic “Frontiers in Life Sciences and Material Science at the AI–IPR Interface” was organised at Hotel Orient Grand, Nagpur on March 6 and 7, 2026. The conference was organised by Seth Kesarimal Porwal College, Kamptee in collaboration with Yashwantrao Chavan Art’s, Commerce & Science College, Lakhandur; Dr. R. G. Bhoyar Art’s, Commerce & Science College, Seloo; Shankarrao Bhoyar Patil Mahavidyalaya, Pulgaon, Wardha in collaboration with Microbiologists Society, India (MBSI).
The objective of the conference was to provide a common platform for professors, researchers, and students to discuss emerging research trends in the fields of life sciences, material science, artificial intelligence (AI), and intellectual property rights (IPR).
The event was inaugurated by , President of the Microbiologists Society of India. Key guests included, CEO, Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Kamptee, Former Vice-Chancellor, , Ujjain, Director, India and Former Joint Director, Principal, Yashwantrao Chavhan College, Lakhandoor, Principal, Seth Kesarimal Porwal College, Kamptee , Principal, Shankarrao Bhoyar Patil College, Pulgaon; and Principal, Jeevan Vikas College, Thugaondev.
In his speech, Dr. Arvind Deshmukh emphasised that interdisciplinary research will play a major role in the future. He also highlighted the increasing importance of artificial intelligence and intellectual property rights in scientific research. Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey stated that if science is to reach the common people, it is important to teach it in the mother tongue. Principal Dr. Swapnil Dahat remarked that microbiology and material science are both important disciplines, and organising a conference on these themes is a significant initiative.
was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the event. Dr. J. V. Dadwe, Principal of Yashwantrao Chavhan College, Lakhandoor, delivered the presidential address.
A total of five sessions were conducted during the conference. The keynote address for the first session was delivered by Dr. Vikramsingh S. Pachlore, Director of Maestro Multiversity. In his keynote lecture, he encouraged researchers to focus on global-level research, innovation, and the protection of intellectual property.
For the successful organisation of the conference, special efforts were made by the conveners: Dr. Rakesh Thakre, Dr. Alok Roy, Dr. Ashok Davande, Dr. Shilpa Mankar, Dr. Renuka Roy, Dr. G. R. Hashmi, Dr. Gadpayale, Dr. Bangirwar, Mr. Suraj Kombe, and Dr. Kshama Murarkar.
A total of 260 delegates registered and participated in this national conference.
