On the occasion of the Hindu New Year, Shri Ram Seva Mandal, Bajaj Nagar has organized the Gudi Padwa and the grand Shri Ram Navami Festival from March 19 to 26, 2026. This year marks the 22nd year of the festival.
The festival will commence on Gudi Padwa, Thursday, March 19, at 8:30 a.m. with the ceremonial hoisting of the Gudi by MLA Sandeep Joshi. This will be followed by a Satsang organized by Art of Living at 7:00 p.m.
On Friday, March 20, at 7:00 p.m., Amrit speaker Vivek Ghalsasi will deliver a lecture on the topic “Rashtriya Udgosh… Shri Ram”, followed by a felicitation ceremony for sanitation workers.
On March 21, renowned narrator Prakash Edalabadkar will speak on “Katha Ramrathachi”. On March 22, noted writer Rashmi Padwad-Madankar will deliver a lecture on “Kayantar – One Body, Another Birth, A Third Path: A Review.” On March 23, Prafull Mategaonkar will speak on “Andaman – A Pilgrimage Destination.” On March 24, renowned narrator Renuka Deshkar will present a talk on “The Emotional Bonds in the Ramayana.”
On March 25, a musical program titled “Siyavar Ram” will be presented featuring Prasanna Joshi, Yamini Paighan and Yash Kher. Arya Puranikar, Pramod Bawane and Harshad Paighan will provide instrumental accompaniment, while the program will be hosted by Prafull Mategaonkar. On the same day, the traditional “Kaushalya’s Dohal Jevan” ceremony will also be a special attraction.
On March 26, at 12 noon, Shri Ram Janma will be celebrated followed by the distribution of prasad. Devotees will also have the opportunity to attend the Ram Janma Kirtan by Kirtankar Vinay Modak. The aarti and collective recitation of Ramraksha will be held daily at 7:00 p.m.
Prafull Mategaonkar, Renuka Mudaliyar, Aarti Deshpande, Aparna Atre, Apoorva Mategaonkar, Pratima Mategaonkar, Sumit Paturkar, Gauri Oak, Shubhangi Kher, Shruti Khond and Sheetal Sawji have appealed to devotees to attend the programs and participate in the Shri Ram Aarti.
