Team Hawks from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur, has won the prestigious Formula Karting Racing Championship (FKRC) 2026, recently held in Coimbatore, bringing pride to the institution.
The competition, organized by the Academy of Indigenous Motorsports, witnessed participation from 39 teams representing leading institutions across India. The event was conducted in two major categories—Go-Kart and E-Kart.

In the Go-Kart category, drivers Hrishikesh Raj and Harsh Bali secured the titles of Best Driver and Fastest Lap Setter, respectively. The team also won the Endurance Winner Award along with a cash prize. In the E-Kart category, drivers Vinay Mohite and Ojas Gode delivered an impressive performance, winning awards for Best Innovation, Best Aesthetic, and Best Cost Optimum.
Based on their outstanding overall performance across all events, Team Hawks was declared the winner of FKRC 2026 and was awarded a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000.

The team was led by Captain Harsh Bali and comprised 24 students from Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and other disciplines.
On this achievement, Principal Dr. U. P. Waghe, NYSS management, Faculty Advisor Dr. Rajesh G. Bodkhe, and Head of Department Dr. Jayant P. Giri congratulated the students.
