Air travel has become significantly more expensive following a sharp rise in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices, leading to a steep increase in ticket fares across major routes. The impact is clearly visible on flights operating from Nagpur to key cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Kolkata, and Indore.
The Nagpur–Delhi airfare has surged to ₹13,495 for April 5 departures, compared to around ₹10,228 just a day earlier. Previously, fares on this route were in the range of ₹5,500 to ₹6,000, highlighting the extent of the hike.
Similarly, ticket prices for the Nagpur–Mumbai route have climbed to ₹12,076 for April 3 and 4. Online booking platforms show fares increasing further to ₹13,112 on April 4 and up to ₹17,197 between April 5 and 6.Flights to Kolkata have also seen a spike, with fares reaching ₹16,678 on April 4 and crossing ₹18,000 for April 5. Meanwhile, tickets to Indore are currently priced at ₹11,134 for April 4, with expectations of further increases in the coming days.
The sudden rise in airfares has disrupted travel plans for many passengers. With ticket prices soaring, several travelers are reconsidering their journeys or opting for alternative modes of transport due to budget constraints.
