In a shocking incident, the body of a missing machinery spare parts trader was discovered in a secluded area of Wadi, triggering concern across the city. The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Suchit Bhojapure.
According to police, Bhojapure had been missing since Friday night, after which his family filed a missing complaint at Wadi Police Station. On Saturday morning, locals noticed a naked body lying in bushes along Khadgaon Road in the Lava area and informed the authorities.
Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The body was found completely unclothed, with no personal belongings or vehicle nearby, making initial identification difficult. It was later confirmed by the family based on the missing complaint. The scene turned emotional as his wife and two daughters broke down on seeing the body.
Preliminary findings revealed injury marks on the victim’s head, indicating he may have been assaulted with a heavy object. Police suspect the case to be a planned murder rather than an accident.
The victim’s father has alleged foul play and filed a formal complaint, seeking strict action against those responsible.
Wadi Police have launched a detailed probe, and a dog squad was deployed to collect evidence from the scene. The incident has sparked panic among residents and the business community in Nagpur.
