Police in Mul town have arrested four men accused of befriending schoolgirls on social media, coercing them into creating obscene videos, and then using those clips to blackmail them for sexual exploitation.
In two separate cases, the accused targeted young students by building fake romantic relationships online before recording compromising videos. They then used the footage to threaten the victims — in one case leading to repeated physical and mental abuse, and in another to molestation — warning that the videos would be shared on social media if the girls did not comply.
The incidents came to light after alert parents learned about the ordeal and approached the Mul police station to lodge complaints. Acting swiftly, police launched a discreet investigation and arrested all four accused. FIRs have been registered under relevant sections related to blackmail, sexual exploitation, and molestation, and further investigations are underway to identify any additional victims or accomplices.
