India has introduced an innovative safety device called the “Kisan Mitra Chhadi,” designed to detect snakes and other venomous creatures from distances of up to 100 metres.
The device resembles a regular walking stick but is equipped with advanced sensor technology. Once activated, it can sense nearby snakes and alert the user through strong vibrations, allowing them to avoid potential danger.
The smart stick was unveiled by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at a national agricultural fair.
Primarily aimed at farmers and rural workers, the device addresses the high risk of snakebites faced while working in fields, particularly during nighttime.
