Shraddha Nabira delivered a captain’s knock, smashing an unbeaten century to guide Team F to a convincing 50-run victory over Team D in the Women’s Guzder T20 final on Friday.
Opting to bat first under lights at the VCA Civil Lines Stadium, Team F posted a competitive 158 for five in 20 overs. Shraddha led from the front with a Fabulous unbeaten 100 off 63 balls, striking 10 boundaries and three sixes. Despite early setbacks with Akshra Itankar (4) and Nimisha Kotecha (2) departing cheaply, she anchored the innings with composure. Prerna Randive contributed 16 off 18 balls, while Arya Gohane added an unbeaten 13 from 10 deliveries.
In reply, Team D struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 108 in 17.1 overs. They lost three early wickets for 31 runs before Latika Inamdar (24 off 19) and Saumya Puri (15) stitched together a 45-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, their dismissals in quick succession dented the chase. Skipper Gargi Wankar fought back with an unbeaten 31, but lacked support as Team D fell short, handing Team F a comfortable win.
