The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun the registration process for the Class 10 second board examination 2026, initiating the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) and payment of examination fees. Students have a limited window to complete the required formalities.The board stated that the LOC will be finalised only after the declaration of results.
As per the schedule, the process will be conducted in three phases.The first phase, from April 16 to April 20, is for payment of examination fees. The second phase, running concurrently from April 16 to 20, involves submission of the LOC along with the fee. The third phase, set for April 21 and 22, allows submissions with a late fee.CBSE has clarified that students who could not register in the initial phase can still apply by paying the required fees. Those already registered need only complete the fee payment, while students not intending to appear can withdraw their names.
Additionally, students are allowed to switch their Mathematics level for the second exam—from Standard to Basic or vice versa. No changes will be permitted in other subjects. Students who have already passed may also opt to appear for improvement in up to three subjects, including Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and Languages.
