The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), through its Garden and Tree Authority Department, has issued a public notice inviting objections and suggestions regarding the proposed cutting of 156 trees on Orange City Street under a development project in Zone No. 2.
As per the notice, the proposal involves tree cutting for ongoing development work along Orange City Street. Citizens who wish to raise objections or provide suggestions have been asked to submit their responses in writing within seven days to the Tree Officer at the NMC office in Civil Lines, along with valid reasons and supporting documents.
The civic body has clarified that objections received after the stipulated deadline will not be considered. The notice also includes details of the tree species, their numbers, and approximate age proposed for removal.
The application for permission has been submitted by the Executive Engineer (Zone 2), NMC.
Citizens have been urged to review the proposal and participate in the decision-making process within the given timeframe.
