For the academic year 2026–27, the online application process for admissions under the 25% RTE quota was open for parents from February 17 to March 31. The state-level lottery draw was successfully conducted in Pune on April 6. Initially, students selected for admission (Selection List No. 1) were required to confirm their seats between April 10 and April 20.
However, the deadline has now been extended to April 30, giving students on Selection List No. 1 additional time to complete their admission formalities.
Instructions for Parents
The revised deadline for selected students to secure admission is April 30. Parents must carry both original documents and attested photocopies of all documents submitted during the application process. They are also required to bring a printout of the allotment letter, which can be accessed through their login account or obtained from the Verification Committee.
In addition, parents must carry a printed copy of the “Undertaking Letter” available on the RTE portal.
Although SMS notifications will be sent to parents of selected students, they are advised not to rely solely on these alerts. Instead, they should verify their child’s selection status by entering the application number under the “Application Status” tab on the RTE portal.
Parents should not attempt to generate an admit card through login. They must use only the “Application Status” tab for all relevant details. To complete the admission process, parents must visit the Verification Committee within the given deadline with all required documents. It is mandatory to collect a receipt confirming successful online admission.
Students on the waiting list can check their position by entering their application number under the “Application Status (Application Wise Details)” tab. Admissions for waiting list candidates will begin in sequence only after the deadline for selected candidates has passed, and notifications will be sent via SMS.
More Details
Parents are advised to visit the official website https://student.maharashtra.gov.in/adm_portal for complete information. They should use the “Application-wise details” tab to check their child’s selection status. Those whose children have been selected must contact the Taluka Verification Centre with all necessary documents.
Considering the extreme summer heat, parents are advised not to bring young children along during the admission process. They are also urged to remain patient and cautious, and not fall prey to any individuals offering admissions through unfair means or bribes.
