Residents in several parts of South Nagpur faced severe inconvenience as power supply remained disrupted for nearly six hours on Saturday, causing hardship amid intense summer heat.
According to information, electricity supply has been shut only in the Balaji Nagar area due to ongoing AB cable laying work on a circuit in the locality.
However, reports of prolonged outage triggered concern among residents, with many complaining of discomfort due to the extreme weather conditions.
Officials said the interruption is linked to maintenance and infrastructure upgradation work, and supply is expected to normalize after completion of the cable-laying work. Residents have urged authorities to restore power at the earliest and improve communication during such outages.
