Vidarbha continued to reel under intense heatwave conditions on Sunday, with Akola and Amravati emerging as the hottest cities in the region, both recording a scorching 46.9 and 46.8 degrees Celsius respectively. Wardha closely followed at 46.4 degrees Celsius, underlining the severe heat gripping central India.

Nagpur too remained in the grip of sweltering weather, with the mercury touching 45.4 degrees Celsius, making it one of the hottest major cities in the region. Chandrapur also recorded 45 degrees Celsius, while Bhandara touched 44 degrees Celsius.
