The Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Samiti, along with other organisations, will host a Buddha festival at Deekshabhoomi from May 1 to May 3 to celebrate Buddha Jayanti.
Committee president and ‘Dhamma Senanayak’ Bhadant Arya Nagarjun Surei Sasai said a session on the ‘Bodh Gaya Mahabodhi Mahavihara Act’ will be held on May 1 at 6 pm. On May 2, members of the Bhikkhu Sangha and Bhikkhuni Sangha will deliver a discourse on ‘Buddha’s Path of Welfare’ at 6 pm. The festival will conclude with a cultural programme at 6 pm on May 3.
