Atithi Shende of Dr Ambedkar College has emerged as a probable topper in the Commerce stream of the Maharashtra State Board Class 12 examination, the results of which were announced on Saturday.
Daughter of a homemaker and a government employee, with an elder brother serving as a firefighter, Atithi called the achievement a proud moment for her entire family.She maintained a disciplined routine, studying for nearly eight hours a day, with a special focus on challenging subjects like Accounts and Mathematics.
Alongside academics, she stayed connected with friends and continued her hobbies, including sketching, reading and dancing.Atithi now aims to pursue Chartered Accountancy. She plans to appear for the CA Foundation examination in September 2026, followed by the Intermediate level.Sharing her advice for future aspirants, she emphasised consistency and balance.
She encouraged students to avoid burnout, stay confident despite setbacks, and remember that steady effort over time ultimately leads to success.
