Nagpur Police has launched its ‘Summer to Learn’ camp for children, receiving an enthusiastic response from participants across the city on the opening day.
The initiative aims to strengthen trust, confidence, and interaction between the police force and the younger generation by creating a friendly and engaging platform for children.
Through the camp, children are getting an opportunity to understand the role, responsibilities, and working of the police department. The programme features interactive sessions with experts, safety awareness activities, live demonstrations, arts and crafts, and recreational exercises, combining learning with fun.
The camp also focuses on physical fitness, discipline, and healthy living, which officials said are important for overall personality development and responsible citizenship.
Addressing the participants, Commissioner of Police Ravinder Kumar Singal said such initiatives help remove fear and build confidence among children through direct interaction with police personnel. He also encouraged children to stay physically active, spend time outdoors, and participate in sports for better mental and physical health.
Police officials said the strong participation on the first day reflects growing public interest in constructive community initiatives. The department reiterated its commitment to nurturing aware, confident, and responsible youth while promoting stronger community-police relations.
