Nagpur is gearing up for a week-long sports and fitness celebration as Khasdar Krida Mahotsav (KKM) 2026 will begin with a marathon on May 31. The event, organised under the guidance of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and coordinated by former MLA Sandip Joshi, will continue till June 7.The opening day will feature a grand marathon along with the popular “Run Nagpur Run” event starting from Yashwant Stadium in Dhantoli.
The marathon categories include 10 km for men, 5 km for women, 5 km for Under-16 boys, and 3 km for Under-16 girls. The “Run Nagpur Run” event will be a 3 km race open to all.Registrations are open till May 28 at a nominal fee of Rs 10. All participants will receive a T-shirt, medal, certificate, and lunch box.
Participants will also get lucky draw coupons, with prizes including Bajaj Chetak scooters, EV motorcycles, EV bicycles, and sports shoes for 10 winners.The marathon carries a total prize pool of Rs 3.28 lakh. Organisers have appealed to citizens and sports lovers to participate enthusiastically.
