Air travel from Nagpur has become significantly more expensive as rising Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices and increased operational costs have pushed up airfare across major routes. With the onset of June, passengers are facing a sharp increase in ticket prices, especially for flights to Delhi and other metropolitan cities.
According to travel industry sources, the airfare for a Nagpur–Delhi flight booked three to four days in advance has climbed to ₹25,954. Similarly, fares to Kolkata and Indore have also witnessed a substantial increase.A travel operator stated that ticket prices are largely influenced by demand and fuel costs. For travel on June 4, a Nagpur–Ahmedabad ticket was priced at around ₹15,318, while a Nagpur–Kolkata ticket cost approximately ₹20,338. Fares to Indore touched ₹19,339.The steep rise has become a cause of concern for business travellers who frequently travel to Delhi for meetings and official work.
They say the escalating airfare is significantly increasing travel expenses and affecting business planning.Airfares to other major destinations have also surged. Tickets from Nagpur to Bengaluru for June 3 were reportedly available for around ₹21,155, while fares to Mumbai have reached ₹12,060.
Travel experts believe airfare may remain elevated in the coming weeks due to fluctuating fuel prices and seasonal travel demand, putting additional financial pressure on passengers.
