Central Railway has cancelled four MEMU train services between Nagpur and Wardha on June 11 due to the commissioning of an advanced Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) system in the Dhamangaon–Dipore section of the Wardha–Badnera railway route.
According to railway officials, the signalling upgrade work is being undertaken on both the up and down lines to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Pre-non interlocking work is being carried out on June 9 and 10, while major technical work required for commissioning the system will take place on June 11.
As a result, the following MEMU train services will remain cancelled on June 11:
Train No. 61107 Amravati–Wardha MEMU
Train No. 61108 Wardha–Amravati MEMU
Train No. 61109 Wardha–Nagpur MEMU
Train No. 61110 Nagpur–Wardha MEMU
Railway authorities stated that the implementation of the Automatic Block Signalling system will increase line capacity, improve train operations, and enhance safety and punctuality on the route.Passengers have been advised to check the latest train status before commencing their journey and make travel plans accordingly. Railway officials said the signalling modernisation is an important step towards providing faster, safer, and more reliable rail services in the future.
