To facilitate the large number of devotees travelling for the annual Ashadhi Ekadashi pilgrimage to Pandharpur, Central Railway will operate 54 special train services between July 22 and July 29, 2026, connecting Pandharpur and Miraj with several major cities across Maharashtra.
The special services include reserved trains from Nagpur–Miraj (4 services), New Amravati–Pandharpur (4), Khamgaon–Pandharpur (4), and Latur–Pandharpur (8). Additionally, unreserved special trains will operate on the Bhusawal–Pandharpur (4), Kolhapur–Kurduwadi (16), and Pune–Miraj (14) routes.
For devotees from the Vidarbha region, the Nagpur–Miraj Special (Train Nos. 01205/01206) will depart from Nagpur on July 23 and 24 at 8:50 a.m., reaching Miraj the following day at 11:55 a.m. The return services will leave Miraj on July 24 and 25 at 12:55 p.m., arriving in Nagpur the next day at 12:25 p.m. The train will halt at major stations including Ajni, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusawal, Manmad, Ahmednagar, Daund, Kurduwadi, Pandharpur, Sangola and several others.
Reservations for the reserved Ashadhi Special trains will open on July 1, 2026, through all computerized reservation centres and the IRCTC website. Unreserved tickets can be booked through the UTS system and the RailOne mobile app. Central Railway has also stated that additional special trains may be introduced if passenger demand increases during the pilgrimage period.
