The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Anti-Corruption Branch, Nagpur, has registered a Regular Case against Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Assistant General Manager (Engineering-Civil), Airports Authority of India (AAI), Birsi Airport, Gondia, and M/s Raisingh & Company of Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, in connection with alleged irregularities in the execution of civil works at the airport.
According to the CBI, the case has also been registered against other unknown public servants and private persons for their alleged involvement in the matter.
The agency has launched an investigation into the alleged irregularities in the award and execution of civil works at Birsi Airport. The nature and extent of the alleged financial irregularities are being examined, and the role of all concerned officials and private entities will be investigated.
Further investigation in the case is underway.
