Dr Vijay Gulabrao Khandal, Director of the Knowledge Resource Centre, has been appointed as the acting Registrar of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU).
The appointment comes as the tenure of Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase ends on July 5. Following the orders of Vice-Chancellor Dr Manali Kshirsagar, Dr Khandal was given the additional charge of the Registrar’s post on Saturday until a regular appointment is made.Known as a former firebrand student leader, Dr Khandal’s career has been marked by determination and perseverance.
He was elected President of the University Student Council in 1997-98, becoming one of the youngest to hold the post at the age of 19.
