A new rail link connecting Brahmapur in eastern India to Udhna in western India will offer Vidarbha passengers a faster, direct and modern train travel option through Nagpur, Badnera and Bhusawal. The Amrit Bharat Express, numbered 19021/19022, will run as a regular tri-weekly service.
Launched to strengthen rail connectivity between eastern and western India, the Brahmapur–Udhna Amrit Bharat Express will operate three days a week after the inaugural run, with train number 19021 for Udhna–Brahmapur and 19022 for Brahmapur–Udhna. The train connects four states — Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Gujarat — and will particularly benefit Vidarbha passengers with direct rail access.
Train 19021 will depart Udhna at 7:10 am, reaching Bhusawal by 12:35 pm, Badnera by 4:20 pm, and Nagpur by 7:20 pm the same day, before continuing via Wardha, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Rayagada, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road and Palasa to reach Brahmapur by 1:55 pm the next day.
The train features 22 coaches with modern amenities including upgraded seating, LED lighting, mobile charging points, a passenger information system, and enhanced safety and cleanliness features, designed for a more comfortable long-distance journey.
Halts at Nagpur, Badnera and Bhusawal will benefit traders, students, job-seeking commuters, tourists and pilgrims across Vidarbha, saving travel time previously spent on connecting trains and boosting trade and business links with the eastern coast and western industrial belt.
