A complaint has been filed against the illegal practice done by Sadikavad society for using the government land behind Passport office, Mankapur as their own and for business purposes. The said land is being used as a paid parking space for which the owner of Sadikawad society is charging each vehicle 30 rupees for eight hours.
“The vehicles which are using the space for only one hour slot are also charged on eight-hour basis, which is a total extraction of the capital”, said Manoj Kumar, a resident of Mansarovar Colony.
Kumar has been speaking on behalf of other colony members and has filed a complaint in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT), Town Planning and even to the collector office.
The illegal practice has been in act since last seven to eight years which was finally given a warning through a notice by the Collector.
According to sources, the society has been known to make fraud documents and present them to the collector and even in the court, misguiding them and wasting their valuable time. The documents have several properties related papers and even a fake map which shows that the land is owned by Sadikawad society.
In verification, the map came up to be made from a different direction which is south but the actual land map is supposed to be from the north direction.
Based on the complaint lodged by Kumar, the Police Inspector, Wazeer Shiekh from Mankapur area took action against fake landowners after which the business has come to a halt and all the tickets and diaries are seized.
