Water logging, Traffic Jams, Incomplete construction works etc are becoming one of the major problems in the city. Every other area is facing one or the other above mentioned problems.
One such area who is facing this problem is Ambazari. Residents of Ambazari area are facing numerous problems due to pending development works in the area.
NL Sawarkar, General Secretary, Jansamsya Nivaran Sangarsha Samiti said, “ nearly 25000 residents are currently residing in the area and are facing n number of problems due to ongoing development work in different parts of the area, be it road construction, repairs and maintenance or be it the construction work of metroâ€.
It should be noted that the constriction work of the sideways was expected to be completed in the summer itself but for an unknown reason the work of fixing I blocks on sideways was prolonged till the monsoon season. Now when the commuters are facing issues like water logging, traffic jams etc NMC decided to fix the entire dug up area.
Due to this commuters are unable to find parking space which results in a messy parking and traffic jams. Also to add to the problems of the residents, the area dug up has got muddy and slippery because of rainfall and it has made it an accident prone area.
Another issue that the residents are facing is the hygiene issues. Due to the water logging, the mosquitoes have increased in the area and so are the chance of various diseases like malaria, dengue etc.
