A senior forest officer stated that “we had tried to rescue the trapped tiger with the help of machinery available with WCL near the area. However, the tiger failed to enter the cage which was kept near it to capture it, later which was stalled due to bad light.

According to forest officials, the tiger had killed a wild animal recently and halted for a while on Sirna river bridge edge. The tiger might had jumped from the bridge after crossing two four wheelers in the wee hours of Wednesday.
