NEET 2020 Admit card released

The National Testing Agency released the admit card of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) today. Over 15.97 lakh candidates who had registered to appear in the UG medical entrance exam can download the hall ticket through the website- ntaneet.nic.in.

NTA in its press release on August 25 clarified that the exams will be held on the set dates. “On the request of the students, the JEE (Main) and NEET (UG), which were earlier scheduled to be held in the month of July, were postponed to be held in the month of September 2020.
In view of the academic interest of the students, these exams are now scheduled to be held as follows:
1. JEE (Main) – 1-09-2020 to 6-9-2020
2. NEET (UG)- 13-9-2020
The Hon’ble Supreme Court has also, inter alia, ordered that “We find that there is absolutely no justification in the prayer made for postponement of the examination in question relating to NEET UG-2020 as well as JEE (Main) April, 2020.”
NTA has, since then, released Admit Cards of JEE (Main) Examination. The Admit Cards of NEET (UG) 2020 will also be released shortly and the NTA has ensured that more than 99% of candidates get their first choice of Centre Cities in both of these examinations, reads the press release.
The number of Examination Centres have also been increased from 570 to 660 (in case of JEE Main) and 2546 to 3843 (in case of NEET (UG) 2020). JEE (Main) is Computer Based Test (CBT) and NEET (UG) is pen paper-based test.
Additionally, in case of JEE (Main), the number of shifts has been increased from the earlier 8 to 12, and the number of candidates per shift has been reduced from earlier 1.32 lakh to 85000 now.
8.58 lakh and 15.97 lakh candidates have been registered for JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) 2020 respectively.
For NEET (UG), the option to change centre cities was given five times, and about 95,000 candidates availed the same.
