After the shocking incident of the couple committed suicide along with their daughter on Saturday, Weltur police are suspecting financial issues behind the suicide.Shyam Gajanan Narnawre (46), his wife Savita (35), and daughter Sanita (12), all residents of Anmol Nagar, Wathoda, and committed suicide on Saturday evening. Investigation revealed that Savita was a patient of sickle cell anemia. Gajanan was working as cashier with Sant Jagnade Cooperative society and was getting around Rs 11,000/- salary per month.
The family was living in a rented accommodation and facing financial issues for the past several months. Shyam had called his two sisters on Thursday and gave them all gold ornaments asking to distribute the ornaments among themselves. The sisters did not suspect anything amiss in the Shyam’s proposal. The family visited a temple at Ambhora on Saturday in the evening. They came to a bridge constructed over the backwater of the river. After tying their hands with odni, the three jumped into the river. The water is around 30 feet deep where the three had committed suicide. Some fishermen had found the bodies in the river on Sunday morning and alerted the police officials. Staff of Weltur police station had rushed to the spot and noticed the motorcycle parked near the bridge. The police had managed to trace the bodies at around 1 pm with the help of locals.
