With the India-England One Day International (ODI) match set to take place on Thursday at the Vidarbha Cricket Association’s Jamtha Stadium, Nagpur Police have put extensive security and traffic management measures in place.
Security and Traffic Arrangements
To ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety, four drones will be deployed to monitor movement, especially along Wardha Road. A strong police presence of 2,000 personnel will be stationed around the stadium, with special teams from the Quick Response Team (QRT) and Riot Control Police (RCP) on high alert to handle any untoward incidents.
Green Corridor to Ease Traffic Congestion
To mitigate post-match congestion, a “green corridor” has been planned from Jamtha to Rahate Colony Square for the smooth movement of spectator vehicles, Commissioner of Police Dr. Singal informed.
Meanwhile, both the Indian and England teams will be staying at Radisson Blu and Le Meridien hotels during their time in Nagpur.
