Delhi Public School (DPS) Kamptee Road, Nagpur, successfully hosted its inter-school swimming competition, Poolympics 3.0, on March 22, 2025. The event, held in the school’s state-of-the-art natatorium, saw participation from over 150 students from various schools, competing in multiple categories.
Young swimmers competed in Under-10, Under-12, and Under-14 boys and girls divisions, showcasing their skills in 50m and 100m Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Relay events. The competition provided a platform for budding athletes to demonstrate their talent and sportsmanship.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Kanchanmala Pande, an international visually challenged swimmer, along with Guest of Honour Mr. Atharv Sambhaji Bhosle, Sports Officer, DSO. Mr. Amol Raipurkar served as the Chief Judge. DPS Kamptee Road Principal Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar welcomed the participants and encouraged them to perform at their best.
Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, played a key role in ensuring top-notch infrastructure for the event. Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director of DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, extended her best wishes to all the participants.
The competition was exciting, with swimmers giving their best to win. The crowd cheered loudly, adding to the energy. The prize distribution celebrated the winners and acknowledged everyone’s hard work.
Swimmers from across the city delivered outstanding performances, with some attempting to break records. The event highlighted the growing interest in the sport, and participants are already looking forward to next year’s Poolympics at DPS Kamptee Road, Nagpur.
