After weeks of dry weather, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a fresh bout of heavy rainfall in Nagpur beginning July 23 and continuing till July 26. In response, the district administration has issued an advisory urging residents to exercise caution by avoiding riverbanks, nullahs, standing under trees, or working in open fields during the rains.
According to the IMD, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over the Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours. This system is expected to intensify into a low-pressure area within 48 hours, triggering significant rainfall across Nagpur and other parts of Vidarbha.
In addition, similar weather patterns are forming over Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Jharkhand, indicating the likelihood of widespread showers throughout Central India. Authorities have advised citizens to stay updated with official alerts and take necessary safety measures.
