Nagpur witnessed a shocking incident on Monday evening when a man brutally assaulted a woman traffic police officer near Dahibazar flyover while she was managing traffic during VIP movement. The incident occurred amid heavy traffic near the busy Dehlibazar flyover, causing chaos in the area.
According to reports, the accused not only attacked the woman officer but also misbehaved with her, creating panic among onlookers. The incident took place right in the heart of the Lakadganj Police Station limits, raising serious concerns about public safety. Despite the presence of several citizens, no one came forward to help the officer immediately.
The incident happened as the convoy of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was scheduled to pass through the area from Ajumshah Chowk towards Shantinagar. The incident has raised questions about the safety of police personnel on duty and the rising audacity of miscreants in public areas.
