A dramatic wildlife encounter from the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Chandrapur district has gone viral on social media. The video, shot during heavy monsoon rains, shows a majestic tiger standing still in the middle of a wet road, its golden-orange coat striking against the grey surroundings.
In the clip, a herd of deer can be seen cautiously moving past the tiger. Despite being in close range of its natural prey, the tiger remains motionless, merely watching them without making any move to attack. The unusual moment has intrigued viewers, as it goes against the typical predator-prey instinct seen in the wild.
Wildlife enthusiasts suggest that such behaviour could be due to the tiger not being hungry at the time or simply conserving energy during the rain. The Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is one of Maharashtra’s most famous tiger habitats and is known for frequent sightings, but rare, peaceful encounters like this continue to fascinate visitors and nature lovers.
