Residents of Narendra Nagar were left without water supply for the entire day, causing severe inconvenience and anger among locals. According to the OCW, the disruption occurred due to a sudden power outage at the Pench IV Water Treatment Plant since last night, which affected pumping operations and supply to the area.
“This is unacceptable. We woke up expecting regular water supply, but the taps were dry all day. No one from the department informed us, and we had to arrange water from elsewhere,” said Ananta Mule, a long-time resident of Narendra Nagar.
Another resident, Sunita Patil, echoed the sentiment, saying, “We pay our bills on time, but when such issues occur, the authorities remain silent. At the very least, they should inform us in advance so we can make arrangements.”
The sudden shortage has disrupted daily routines, forcing families to depend on private water suppliers and neighbors for their basic needs. Locals are now demanding immediate restoration of water supply and a transparent communication system to avoid such incidents in the future.
