Nagpur: In view of a massive protest announced by former state minister and Prahar Party president Bachchu Kadu, the city traffic police have issued a diversion plan for Wardha Road to manage vehicular movement. The protest, scheduled to take place at Parsodi near Midas Hospital under the Ajni Traffic Division, is expected to draw a large crowd of farmers and agricultural labourers.
Officials estimate that nearly 20,000 to 25,000 protestors, including men and women, will assemble to demand their rights, potentially causing significant traffic congestion in the area. The traffic restrictions will remain in force from 8 am on October 28 until the protest concludes.
Diversion routes announced:
For vehicles travelling from Nagpur towards Wardha:
Motorists are advised to take a left turn in front of Khapri Police Chowki, pass through the SEZ area, and then take a left onto the service road. From there, they should turn right near Hotel Le Meridien, continue via Panjra village and the Outer Ring Road bridge, and take a left at the Panjra Toll Plaza to proceed towards Wardha.
For vehicles travelling from Wardha towards Nagpur:
Drivers should take a left turn from Jamtha Chowki, proceed towards NCI, take a U-turn, and then turn left near the Metro Railway Yard and Cement Factory. From the DPS School T-point, they must take a right turn, followed by another right near MIHAN W Building, then proceed down the bridge towards Nagpur via the Indian Oil Company and Khapri Police Chowki.
The city traffic police have appealed to commuters to follow the diversions and avoid Wardha Road during the protest hours to prevent delays and congestion.
