Central Railway has temporarily stopped selling platform tickets at 13 major stations from December 5 to 7 due to the expected heavy rush on Mahaparinirvan Diwas. This step is aimed at managing crowds and ensuring smooth movement of passengers.
Stations where platform ticket sales are stopped:
- Mumbai Division: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Dadar (Dec 5–7)
- Bhusaval Division: Bhusaval, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Akola, Shegaon, Pachora, Badnera, Malkapur, Chalisgaon (Dec 5–6)
- Nagpur Division: Nagpur station (Dec 5–6)
Exemptions:
People accompanying senior citizens, elderly, children, illiterate or ailing passengers, and women needing assistance will be allowed platform access.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and follow the temporary rules for safety, the Railways said.
